Who We’re Looking For: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented New Construction Project Estimator for Intown Plumbing. This role will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for plumbing projects in new construction, from initial planning to project completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, a deep understanding of plumbing systems, and the ability to collaborate with teams to ensure that each project stays on budget and meets the company’s high standards of quality.

Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude – no compromises here.
- Proven track record in estimating costs for new construction plumbing projects.
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools, as well as using tablets or computers to input and analyze data.
- Experience in the plumbing industry or with plumbing systems in new construction projects.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to break down project specifications and create accurate cost estimates.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure all estimates are comprehensive and realistic.
Standard Skills Required:
Project Estimating and Planning:
- Prepare detailed estimates for plumbing systems in new construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and proposals to calculate accurate project costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure that estimates align with project timelines and scope.
- Review and adjust estimates based on changes to project requirements or unforeseen circumstances during the planning process.
- Ensure that all estimates meet company standards for profitability, quality, and safety compliance.
Collaboration and Vendor Management:
- Communicate and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to source materials and get accurate pricing.
- Review subcontractor bids and select the best option based on cost, quality, and reliability.
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure project budgets are maintained and resources are allocated efficiently.
Cost Control and Budget Monitoring:
- Track and monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, ensuring that the project stays within budget.
- Provide regular updates on cost performance and assist in adjusting project scope if necessary to stay on track financially.
- Help identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
Adherence to Standards and Company Values:
- Ensure that all estimates and plans comply with local building codes, plumbing codes, and safety regulations.
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and new materials or technologies in plumbing and construction.
