Intown Plumbing Awards $1,500 Service Scholarships to Two Outstanding Students
Rockwall high school seniors recognized for their dedication to community service
Rockwall, TX – Intown Plumbing is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 Intown Service Scholarship, a $1,500 award created to honor high school seniors who are making a difference through service in their communities.
This year, two outstanding students were selected as recipients of the Intown Service Scholarship: Colin McAnally and Adelyn Britt. Their inspiring submissions stood out for their heartfelt commitment to service and meaningful impact in their communities. Both demonstrated exceptional leadership, compassion, and a true spirit of giving back—making them perfect examples of the values this scholarship aims to celebrate.
Colin has been actively involved with Boys Team Charity, where he volunteers alongside his peers and family members throughout Rockwall. Through this organization, he has contributed to a variety of local causes, including one of his favorites—the Helping Hands Christmas Toy Drive. “Giving back and volunteering isn’t just about the work you do or the things you donate, but the connections you make in your community,” Colin wrote in his application, emphasizing the meaningful relationships built through service.
Adelyn has dedicated her summers to Rockwall Community Playhouse’s STAR Players theater camp, which provides inclusive performing arts experiences for adults with special needs. As a teen buddy, she helps campers rehearse and perform, offering encouragement and support both on and off stage. “Working with these adults moved me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to move past some of my own fears and misconceptions about those with special needs,” she shared, highlighting the personal growth that came from the experience.
“We’re incredibly proud to recognize Colin and Adelyn and celebrate the work they are doing to better our community,” said Brittany Grose, owner of Intown Plumbing. “At Intown, we don’t just work in these neighborhoods—we live here, plumb here, and love here. Supporting the next generation of changemakers is just one way we give back.”
Colin McAnally, a graduate of Rockwall-Heath High School, is headed to Texas A&M University this fall. Adelyn Britt recently graduated from Providence Academy and will be continuing her journey at East Texas A&M.
Open to high school seniors across the DFW Metroplex, the scholarship invited students to share how service has shaped their lives or impacted those around them. Applicants submitted either a 500-word essay or a 3-minute video reflecting on their experiences.
“Thank you to all who applied—we were inspired by your stories, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of recognizing youth who serve with heart,” said Grose.
